DSL and multiple connections.?

I have DSL at my house and I want to connect both my PC and my laptop to the internet without using wireless. They are in different rooms of my house and I have a phone jack in each of the rooms. Would I be able to just buy a second modem for the second connection or do you have to use a router to get multiple connections in one house.

Env3 downloading screen?

Today i turned my phone off at 7:30 am and left it in my backpack all day and took it out to turn it on at 6:00 pm and it said "Downloading" on the external screen and it had a LG symbol and "verizon wireless downloading" on the internal screen. I didn't touch it all day and it has a pass code on it when it is turned on so accidentally turning it on is highly unlikely. I think it might be a virus or something, so i took the battery out and turned it on and haven't noticed any problems yet. So what can the problem be????

I have a Verizon wireless phone and over the past day or so, I received 7 or so SPAM text messages regarding Walmart Gift Cards and gas cards. I don't know how to stop them. I have a friend who told me to text "STOP" to them and one telling me not to do it because it will tell the spammers that my cell phone number is a legit number and they'll leak my number to other spammers. What the heck should I do?

My old Palm is slowing dying and I need an electronic calendar and a place for my contacts list. I do not need a phone, camera. Can I use the iPod Touch like a PDA and ignore the rest or do I need to sign up with a plan through a telephone company. I realize it is wireless so can it pick up from my router?

Verizon wireless contract: How can I end my contract without paying termination fee?

I just don't have the money to keep up with my bill that's kind of high now, and it would be cheaper for me just to pay the termination fee for my Verizon Wireless phone. I've gotten a lot more hours at work now, but I would rather switch to Straight Talk's service, which doesn't have a contract, and I know people who use that service who say it's good. Anyways, I was just wondering is there any possible way I can convince Verizon to drop the termination fee? Maybe there are features that have changed in my plan since I have signed up that Verizon forgot to notify me about, and I can use that to try and convince them. Any information will be helpful on how to end the contract. I've had a good payment history, and in the past Verizon has worked with me on my bill, and I have managed to pay by the extended deadline, I just want a no contract service.

I have an upgrade due, and i found a phone I want on the verizon website. It says its free because of the online discount. Like the 2 yr. contract price was 119 dollars, but the online discount says -119 dollars so it would be free. the only thing is that I hate to put my CC number online even on a trusted website. I was wondering if I call and order, do I still get the discount?

I Need Verizon Wireless Help?

I was given a phone from someone who bought the phone from another person. I called to try to get it activated and they told me that it was under contract and that in order for me to use my phone i had to find the person and have them to end the contract and pay any remaining balance.

I am in NC and i got the phone sent to me from GA. Is there anyone who knows anything that i can do so that i can use my phone because there is no way i will be able to find that person from a whole other state.

My computer will not renew ip address?

I have an older compaq presario, and the main computer in the house (this one) has the phone line and a wireless at&t router/modem and i have the usb stick and two days ago it would connect fine and i came home yesterday it say limited or no connection i have made sure my WEP is right, i have tried resetting the router no change also i have tried going in and putting in ipconfig /renew and it says i cant or wont do that. i can manually configure the ip address, subnet mask, and default gateway and it says connected but it still won't let me connect to the internet please help and i'm not too awful bright about computers so don't hit me with alot of big computer talk

OK so ill give ya the layout. I live in a 3 story house its very old with my room bein on the second and our internet modem box thing downstairs, that is the only place our internet can go cuz its not through the phone cables its with the cable cable we got mediacomm so these past few months i have been playin live through my laptop piggybackin it off of it.But my internet is only one bar reception in my room up here, and i have to turn my firewall off for live if i want an open nat and be able to download xbox live updates. My question to yall is should i get the xbox wireless adapter for the 360 to help my connection? Or since its bein too far from the modem what can i do to boost my range/ connection?
