I'm cheated by a seller in Ebay. How to prevent other innocent people from the seller?

Recently I purchased 'Faceplate Panel Housing for Nokia E71' through eBay India. This is my first time online shopping experience for me and that's with eBay.

The item is mentioned as '100% Original Faceplate Panel Housing for Nokia E71'. I received the item before few days. I didn't receive any warranty card or anything. I took it to the Nokia Care to replace the panel, faceplate and housing for my mobile with the new one I received. The Nokia Care technicians said it's not original one and they can't help me replacing my panel & faceplate.

Then I came home very upset and I took the panel, faceplate and housing. It's of very poor quality. Anyone could find the item is not original by looking at the finishing of it. I could see 'Faceplate Panel Housing for Nokia E71' which is not original in ebay itself for Rs.500. However I paid Rs.1200 for the same, thinking it's original.

Then I called the seller. he said that the item is a grey product and the original item's cost is around Rs.2300/-. Also he said if i'm not okay with the item, he asked me to send it back to him & he could refund the money. I can't run behind the seller for the money.

Also I raised a complaint in eBay Court. Click Here .The eBay agent says that he spoke with seller, he's ready to refund and ask me to return the item to the seller. I asked the agent, why is ebay having such seller with a false information about the item? The agent doesn't have any answer. I could still see the seller products with the same information.

I'm not much concerned about money. I'm more concerned that I've been cheated by the seller. I'm worried there may another innocent people who's going to be cheated by this seller. How to prevent other people from this seller?

And don't say eBay etc, because I've tried there and the model is so old only things like chargers and faceplates show up in the searches. Specifically for old Nokia phones like the 7210, 7250, 5100 etc. I want it to be adapatable to Vodafone in Australia. I have a soft spot for these classic phones with their retro looks that stand apart from the crowds of shiny chrome and rigidity.

My Nokia N97 wont work with faceplate on!!??!!?

Every time I put my front faceplate on my N97 the touch, well, pretty much all of it stops working. When I take it off it's back to normal. Does anyone know why it does this and if there is a way to avoid this problem without getting rid of the faceplate all together?

Im looking to buy a snap on faceplates for the Nokia 3555 but Ive only found a couple of (lame) patterned ones and then a lot of solid coloured ones.

Does anyone know of any really cool ones out there, or are there any other phones which have compatible/interchangeable faceplates? Or even faceplate sticker protectors?

Hi everyone!.

I just got a used n95, it looks good althou it has some use signs on it, like a scratch on top of the faceplate and a scratched button aswell.
Anyhow, i got it as a payment, so im thinking on keeping it.
I put it onsale, just to see if it goes, and people just keep offering me trades for cellphones and cheaper stuff.. The only good offer i got, was trading it for an lg viewty, im still hesitating.

Should i keep it? if i keep it ill invest on a new housing.
Or trade it for the lf viewty?

i don't trust feedback rating, because i believe a seller can hack his feedback rating.

Like for example, he could sell it to her relative, then the relative will give him positive feedback, and then imagine doing that to all of his other relatives... there may be a conspiracy... and when he reached uber high ratings, then it's his time to cheat innocent buyers.. get my point?
