dunno... i'm not really following it this year so i couldn't say.
last year i think allison was the best singer yet she didn't win so i see where you're coming from.
also in general the best to come from idol with the exception of chris daughtry (although he didn't win) and david cook have been girls. -kelly clarkson, carrie underwood, jordin sparks....etc.

You're probably right. But this year I think Big Mike might just win it. If he does he did earn it. Till his last performance Crystal had it locked up as far as talent is concerned. Now I'd say they're on the same level.

I think some of the girls are a little bit better than the guys this year. Almost everyone in the top 12 has a great voice..the problem is they aren't choosing songs that showcase their talent. I'm not sure why they are having such a hard time choosing songs. They were great during auditions.

I don't know, but I'd love to see that this year. Actually, I'd love to see it come down to 2 girls in our first female finale since Season 3. Siobhan and Crystal should be the Top 2.
But as you said that may not happen because of the tween girls will cell phones (which has to be how tim Urban is there). I think what they really need to do is limit the votes to one vote per contestant per phone line. That way, contestants with tween girl fans wouldn't have an advantage over everyone else. It would also give a better idea of where the contestants really place because you'd know that someone really has thousands of individual fans voting, rather than hundreds of fans voting hundreds of times each, so then maybe the right people would win.
